Indigenous Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity Training

Indigenous developed, Indigenous delivered.

Our training programs are created and led by experienced Indigenous facilitators with deep roots in Indigenous Education. Grounded in lived experience, community knowledge, and informed by formal study and practice, these programs are authentically Indigenous at every stage …developed by Indigenous peoples, delivered by Indigenous peoples.

Designed to support non-Indigenous individuals, businesses, religious organizations, and institutions, our training promotes culturally safe learning environments and respectful engagement with Indigenous communities. Through carefully curated learning experiences, participants are guided in building awareness, challenging assumptions, and fostering lasting, respectful relationships.

At ICAST, we intentionally center Indigenous voices and leadership in our programming, ensuring that all learning is not only informed and sensitive but truly representative of Indigenous worldviews and lived realities.

Culturally Grounded, Educationally Relevant.

Our programs are rooted in a culturally grounded, dual-lensed methodology that offers participants the opportunity to explore both Indigenous and Western (European) worldviews. This approach creates an ethical learning space where diverse perspectives are acknowledged, complex topics examined, and meaningful understanding developed.

We blend intergenerational Indigenous knowledge (rooted in land, language, story, and lived experience) with contemporary educational strategies. This integration ensures our training is both culturally authentic and accessible to today’s learners.

ICAST’s transformative learning experiences are designed to go beyond conventional awareness training. By respecting the depth and richness of Indigenous ways of knowing, our sessions support reflection, inspire action, and contribute meaningfully to reconciliation. Participants leave better equipped to build respectful relationships, support equity, and engage thoughtfully with Indigenous histories, cultures, and contemporary realities.
